Our local city government operates under a structure consisting of a mayor and a city council. The city is divided into three distinct wards, each represented by two elected council members. The mayor serves as the chief executive, while the six council members, two from each of the three wards, collectively form the city council, responsible for enacting local ordinances, approving budgets, and addressing the needs and concerns of their respective constituents and the city as a whole.
