Enemy Swim, or Toka Nuwan in Dakota Language, is one of seven districts of the greater Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribe of the Lake Traverse Reservation. Located nearby, this village is an extension of our Waubay community and is home to the Enemy Swim District Center, a community center, and the Enemy Swim Day School. The beautiful traditions and history of its peoples are most present at the yearly powwow / Wacipi held Labor Day weekend. You may also witness the majestic bison herds kept in pastures along the short scenic drive to Enemy Swim.
